The Federal Ministry of Finance organized a SENSITIZATION WORKSHOP on the 2017 REVISED IMPORT AND EXPORT GUIDELINES on Thursday, November 30th.
There are a couple of points which we need to inform our valued customers to ensure compliance to the revised guidelines and to prevent additional cost and/or fines for non-compliance to the Nigerian Ministry of Fiance revised Import Guidelines.
1.The e-FORM M number MUST be reflected on the Bill of Lading and CargoManifest
2.Nigerian destined containerized cargo must be palletized effective withloading from origin from January 1,2018.
Canter Logistics will request full compliance to the revised Import Guidelines as directed. Non-Compliance may lead to severe cargo delays, all additional costs, such as but not limited to,fines, penalties, storage, handling, and reshipment, will be passed to account of the cargo in Nigeria.
We are in discussion with Nigerian Customs Service and Federal Ministry of Finance for further clarifications and will communicate further when additional details are provided.
